Well last week we lost to the #1 Team...no kidding that is what they call themselves. I like Joe Racki, we share one thing in common. We are both old school musicians. I remember how much I disliked him until I got to know him a little bit.  I know this about him, he likes and rum and coke and he is a smoker. The two commonalities we share. Well I did not do my best. I had a stellar game the prior week. I had a major upheaval with my neighbors. I took that stress to the game I could have gotten another two hundred game. Racki and his boys didn't runaway with this game. They had to work. Mr. 279 hasn't hit his average in 3 weeks, he has steadily going down in his average. What a disappointment. I did hit my average, in fact for the last 2 1/2 months I have consistently bowled above my average. No brag it is true. Last Wednesday I felt like a total failure. I let outside things interfere with my game. If we want stinking third place we have to fight for it...I'll be back with a vengence this Wednesday!

I bowled another 500 series last night. 157/172/216=545! I finally got a 200 game. We eliminated Team #11 The Black Knights. Would you believe the person with the lowest average bowled the 2 highest games on her team? I am damned proud that I can finally carry my weight as one of The Holy Rollers. It may not seem like much to someone who has a far better average than I, but so what. I was speechless. I left an open in the 3rd and 5th frames, not happy about the open frames. I so wanted to celebrate. One of the guys on my team is in a slump, so please send some of your good bowling juju his way. One of his childhood friends was killed by a rival gang member. I just want to thank everyone that had faith in me and my abilities. I have to say the Hammer Black Widow Bite is one awesome roller. I have bowled at least 10 200+ games with it in open play. My highest open play game is 254. I am hoping to pull a 600 before winter league is over. I came out blasting even though the last couple of days in the personal life had really been trying. I will not let my teammates down. I will bring my "A" game next Wednesday!

Had a great game tonight with 182/161/180 for a 523 series! I finally did it and the Black Widow Bite really hit well and performed well. We swept Balls of Glory in the first round of tournament play. We were accused of sandbagging because my average is only 126. I have to remind all of those who saw me really suck with a bowling ball that wasn't doing it for me.  I watched my average plumment. I finally vindicated myself with a very good series. I still carry the lowest average on my team. I bowled 145 pins over average for the series. I have bowled consistently above my average for one month. It is only going to get better. My coach will be so proud when I give him the news. I still have to work out the kinks in my game, but overall I made the boys proud of me. Thanks for everything Shawn W, Shawn T, Rodney you guys were very supportive and I know we are going to take the second half of the tournanment.  Not bad for a grandmother.  May everyone bowl well and above their average. I am tha bowlin bassist.

I have recently acquired the Hammer Black Widow Bite! Man that thing hits hard. It has the skid/flip layout. The best ball I have ever owned. I look forward to my league night. The backend reaction is unbelievable. I am loving it, truly a fine piece of work by Hammer Bowling. My best series is a 499/ 161/167/171 I look forward to picking up more pins on my average...There are some of us who think this ball is too aggresive. I am loving the Violent Bite Reactive coverstock on this ball. Amazing!, truly amazing. WOW!
